Testimonials

Last night was the 3rd time we’ve played the House Concert Series at Beulah Brinton House that Cherylann Kelly and Thor Jaquish so carefully and lovingly craft; curate in the true sense of the word.  Each time I have been left with a sense of rejuvenation and immense gratitude. Nights like this make it all worth it, and remind me why I make music.  To be in the company of these wonderful musicians in front of such a present, supportive audience gives me real hope for this world. – David Wake (of De La Buena)
I have attended four home concerts – they really know how to do a house concert right! A warm inviting atmosphere, great food and drink, and an intimate space to see some top muscians show off their talent and dedication. Chairs are arranged so that no one is farther than about 20 feet from the stage. Drinks, and hors d’oeuvres are lovingly and expertly prepared by Cherylann, who is also a professional caterer. The artists usually mingle and eat with the audience before and after the concert, so it is a great chance to talk with musicians you wouldn’t normally get at a formal theatre or club setting. I have brought other couples, relatives, and friends to every home concert and all say “tell us when the next one is!”. Give it a try for a new, intimate, and friendly way to experience great music close up without all the expense and hassles of going to a large venue. Dave – Brookfield, WI… Read more
I was fortunate enough last year to discover the house concerts series and attended each one with a growing sense of anticipation. I have purchased tickets to all of this years shows, despite being unfamiliar with some of the acts. Why? Because an intimate setting shared with other folks who are there out of love and respect for music will always be more enjoyable for me than a stadium show featuring the Most Popular Band In The World. The passion for music shared by the musicians and the audience always makes for an incredibly enjoyable show. – John N
